What I’ve Been Writing Lately

Hi friends.

I have been publishing less lately because of a book project I am working on. If it sees the light of day I’ll let you know about it here.

That said I have been up to a few fun things. I had my first feature article published in Tricycle’s print magazine. It’s on three topics dear to my heart: the blurry boundaries between different religions and spiritual movements; Yogic traditions; and Buddhism. You can read it here: The Buddhist Roots of Hathayoga.

Also in Tricycle I published the fascinating story of the creation of a radical eco-monastery in British Columbia by the unique Ajahn Sona: How A Forest Monastery Took Root in British Columbia.

Here on Medium, I published a piece about the climate crisis called A Rational Animal On The Vulnerable Earth: Epictetus on The Climate Crisis. I also published An Introduction To Spinoza, the beginning of a probably over-ambitious project to make available a free, public, and accessible guide to Spinoza and his masterpiece, The Ethics.
